Welcome to Safe Haven Youth Ranch

Safe Haven Youth Ranch is a 32 bed trauma-focused residential program that offers a unique approach to achieving healing and recovery. The program combines the use of evidence-based trauma treatment interventions, 4-H youth development programs and individualized behavior skills training as a treatment alternative to youth who have experienced severe traumatic childhood life events of extreme abuse and neglect. These experiences are often frequently exacerbated by the youth’s involvement in the foster care system.

Safe Haven Youth Ranch RTC Cabins
2 Cabins completed in 2019 each house 16 residents. We’d love to see you and show off the full campus plan.

Safe Haven Youth Ranch serves young men ages 12-17. Most commonly, youth are referred after failed foster home placements, multiple psychiatric hospital stays and as a result the youth feel rejected, minimized and dis-empowered. The program’s unique approach to treating childhood trauma in order for the youth to achieve healing and recovery includes:

  • Youth-Guided Care
  • Culturally Competent Practices
  • Trauma Informed Approach
  • 4-H Youth Programs
  • QMHP Behavioral Support, Activities and Trainings
  • Alternative Therapeutic
  • and Clinical Approaches
  • Recreational/Therapeutic Activities
  • Family Driven Treatment

It is our culture and belief that a youth-guided approach to healing and recovery promotes a continuum of empowerment that is shared with each youth based on their own level of understanding and maturity in a strength-based change process that creates positive relationships and increased motivation.”
